Easter Egg dying Idea

I have always loved dying Easter eggs with the family! We always do it the good ol' classic way, with a kit. We got creative once we learned about the white crayon trick, but for the most part we stick to the dyes and colors we get. This year I found a new fancy way to dye your eggs! I have never tried it myself and since it is so close to Easter now it might have to wait a year. Still, I thought I would share it with you all.
Silk Egg Dying
I thought these were so neat and pretty. I hope to give this a try sometime. It didn't seem to be too complicated. Here are a few sites with directions on how to do these yourself!

Valentine's Day Cards Craft

I had seen some homemade Valentine's Day cards on another blog and I was so inspired by them, I decided to make my own! Here is what you will need...
Plain Colored Cards

A scissors and Fabric/Paper Glue

Your choice of Patterned Fabric
The next few steps are so simple. I bought already folded 5'' by 7'' cards and cut them in half. Then I cut a bunch of hearts out of my 3 fabrics, like this..
Once you have all the hearts you want (cut a few extra so you can pick your favorite hearts) you just glue them to the card! I also bought some letter stamps to print "To" and "From" on the cards. Here is the final product...

Up Close
The cards flip open so you can write your own little message to your lucky Valentine. I really like making my own Valentine's Day Cards, it really means more to those you love. Also it is so fun to put your energy into a craft. I plan on sending some of mine to my friends who are away at college, my old foster siblings, and my family! What kind of Valentine's Day cards are you doing this year?

Just a little Holiday check in

Hello! I know I have been very on and off with my blog posts. I am sure everyone can understand between work and getting ready for the holidays time runs a little tight. So here is just a quick check in,
I have been keeping very warm in all my cozy sweaters! I got two used ones from work for only $12! I bought a new ugly sweater (mine is more cute than ugly!) from work and have 2 wonderful ones from last year still. I just can't get enough sweater time this year!
My little rudolph friend was given to me by my bestie Amy! We exchanged gifts early. She also got me a fabulous purse I'll post pictures of it later! Me and Rudolph took a note from our friend MaDonna and made some clove oranges! Cow Kitty might get on the naughty list for playing around the tree.
Finished project! They smelled so yummy while I was making them. So far Cow has avoided the tree more..hopefully these worked and she isn't just bored with it. I have finally finished all my shopping including my white elephant game gift. Now I just have to keep going to work and wait for all my Christmas fun to begin! I will be going to my Dad's after work on Christmas eve and then my mom's side on Christmas day! So excited!
