Holiday with A Lover

My bf came to visit me about two weeks ago and we took a bit of a holiday together. We went to London, Berlin, and the Lake district. I saw some new things, ate great food, and drank a lot of wine. Hey, that's what holidays are for. It was nice to have company, especially from my love. Here are some sights..
 Afternoon walk in Westminster
Tower of London and Tower Bridge
Berlin. Best German eats NOM
Lake District

Time went way to fast, but it was worth it. Going somewhere once is never enough. I could spend my whole life traveling. Here's to more adventures to come.

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Her

That special day is just around the corner! You know the one, where we get to share our love with our main squeezes, friends, and family. I have made my own little gift guide on ideas to get the ladies in your life.

 1. Josie Maran lip gloss- This pink sheer gloss is a perfect gift for right before date night! Make those lips look kissable. (available on Josie's website and at saphora)
2. Heart shaped bangle- I am just smitten over this bracelet!! It would go with everything and the heart shape makes it cute and personal. (Forever21)
3. Sleep shirt- Every girl needs a nice pair of pjs. This long shirt is silky and stylish. Comfortable and cute, what else does a girl need in her sleepwear?
4. A Cat's Life book- Ok I know I am not the only one out there who would jump with joy from getting this adorable book. However, a book in general can be a great V-day gift. (Barns&Noble)
5. U Are The Apple Of My Eye necklace- Do I even need to explain this one? So sweet!! (Forever21)
6. Pink body mist- You can never have too many purse size items! Victoria secret has the nicest body mists and they come in little travel sizes. The little sizes also make them a cute item to add to a gift bag of prezzies. (Victoria Secret)
7. Heart shaped purse- Since you can never have too many purse sized items you also can't have too many purses! You want to make your girl happy, get her a nice purse. This is a nice color pop and good size purse. The heart shape again makes it personal for the holiday. (Forever21)

8. Love and Beauty nail polish- Top is firstdate and bottom is teatime. Pink and Red are the colors of Valentines day and the color of fabulous nails. (Forever21)
9. Iphone cover- What says love more than a heart case for your love's number one real love, their iphone?!?! (UrbanOutfitters)
10. Sweetheart Sunglasses- Girls love accessories. These ones remind me of the book Lolita. These shades will be very cool for summer, just enough to add a little to an outfit. (UrbanOutfitters)
11. Heart and Bike mug- I tried to find some lovely tea, but failed. I found this nice mug instead. I know I can never have enough mugs. (UrbanOutfitters)
12. Starbucks Strawberry and Cream ice cream- Do I need to say anything... YUM!!!

A few more generic ideas for the traditional gift giver are..

Birthday,Art Fair, plus some!

Well my summer still hasn't slowed down any! However, I am not complaining. I have been keeping busy with tons of fun things happening. Since I will be out in Colorado for my birthday on the 9th I had an early celebration with my fam. We had yummy grilled food, enjoyed the nice weather, and all caught up. I found my cake at Dairy Queen!! I was so happy, it even already had happy birthday written on it. My family friend Layla took me to get a mani pedi and my bestie Amy got me a sugar skull. Too cute!
Hello Cake Kitty!

Later that week was the annual Art Fair. It is a little festival with art booths, bands, and performances out in the street where the Coffee Hag is. My aunt and the lovely MaDonna (memadonna) danced there. It was a lovely day out. I got to take my bike out to enjoy the festivities.
1. My chalk boat
2. My new sandals from Heartbreaker
3. Me and MaDonna!!
4. Rakstar fusion belly dancers. My aunt's cute pregger tummy!
5. Candles hanging in a tree. So cute and magical

I have been keeping busy at home but I am beyond excited to go to Colorado tomorrow!!! I might be MIA while I am there but I will have tons to share when I get back! Here is a nice rainbow to remind you to enjoy the little things this summer..

Thats What Makes You Beautiful

I have been having a rough few weeks. I am currently dealing with a very hard and confusing breakup from my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years. On top of that its finals, my aunts baby shower, a busy month at work, my mom coming to visit, meeting my new baby foster brother, getting my wisdom teeth out, and taking care of my little cousins at their house and the pets at my house while the fam is away. OFFFTTTTAAA!! So when I came upon this post by a cup of subtle tea I thought it was a brilliant idea and would maybe help me cheer up!!
 What makes me feel beautiful...
 - Spending time laughing with my friends
-  putting together a great outfit
-  helping others
- making people laugh
- getting kisses from Cow Kitty
- getting a good grade
- dancing
- watching my favorite t.v. show or movie
- staying positive and up beat
- embracing the little things
- being myself

It feels good to think positive and really try to make myself feel good about me. Sometimes things don't work or go your way, but some day it will.

What makes you feel beautiful?

My Valentine's Day!

February 14th..Valentine's day, it come every year. This year's holiday was a pretty simple one where I just enjoyed the small things. I woke up this morning to find my grandparents had left me a little Valentine's day surprise!

A deliciously sweet Valentine! I had left them one of the cards I made for them to find in the morning, and then when I woke up they had left me this. Morning surprises are the best kind. I was in a happy loving mood all day after that. After finding my gift I put on my Valentine's day outfit!

Dress- Hot topic
Cardigan- H&M
Tights- Target
Boots- Urban Outfitters
I am so pleased with my day of love outfit creation! I love the two colors of pinks mixed. My tights are opaque while my dress is more of a light pale pink. The darker shade and the lighter shade were so pretty together.  The look is very romantic, but with a slight edge thanks to the boots and cardigan. I am also wearing the shade "light pink" nail polish from forever 21, my earrings I ordered off ebay (the ones I lost at the wedding! they were featured in a wish list wed), and a necklace that is a tiny heart with the words "love never fails" on it. All the pieces together made the best Valentine's day outfit.
Once I was all dressed I headed into town to get lunch with Mark. We decided to have our lunch date at Mazetlan, a delicious Mexican restaurant.
Even my drink was pink and festive!

Mark is sooooo full!!!
The rest of my day was spent at class or a quick rest at home. I did drop off some of my Valentine's day cards I made for friends and family. To keep me in the spirit of love I kept my eye out for the little things that reminded me of the day. This isn't one of my favorite holidays, but I do love the colors, hearts, and all the cute decorations. Here are a few things I came across today...

Lots of Window stickies

So cute at Target!!
All and all I had a pretty good Valentine's day! I got to share my love with those I care about, and feeling love and kindness back from them. That is what this day is all about! How was your Valentine's day? What is your favorite part of the holiday?

Valentine's Day Cards Craft

I had seen some homemade Valentine's Day cards on another blog and I was so inspired by them, I decided to make my own! Here is what you will need...
Plain Colored Cards

A scissors and Fabric/Paper Glue

Your choice of Patterned Fabric
The next few steps are so simple. I bought already folded 5'' by 7'' cards and cut them in half. Then I cut a bunch of hearts out of my 3 fabrics, like this..
Once you have all the hearts you want (cut a few extra so you can pick your favorite hearts) you just glue them to the card! I also bought some letter stamps to print "To" and "From" on the cards. Here is the final product...

Up Close
The cards flip open so you can write your own little message to your lucky Valentine. I really like making my own Valentine's Day Cards, it really means more to those you love. Also it is so fun to put your energy into a craft. I plan on sending some of mine to my friends who are away at college, my old foster siblings, and my family! What kind of Valentine's Day cards are you doing this year?

Remembering 2011

Hello 2012! It is the first day of the new year and I would like to spend part of it remembering last year. Memories are an amazing thing and more people should see looking back as a good thing. Here are some big things that happened in 2011!

Last New Years!
I went to China in the beginning of 2011. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much! I put off  starting school, but I wouldn't change my choice ever! I got to go to the Great Wall of China, eat strange food, and make unforgettable memories!
Don't Smile!

Channa got engaged this year and the bachelorett party was so much fun! All the girls together just having a good time at the Ren fest and on a party bus! It was such a blast, wish we could do it all over again!

Then there was, of course, the wedding! It was a perfect day out and everyone looked perfect, especially Channa. It was great seeing family and all our loved ones celebrating Channa and Corey's love. I danced all night. If we get to relive the bachelorett party then we get to relive the wedding right?! Further news on my aunt and uncle is that they bought a house and just moved in on the 30th!

I got to see my mom a bunch this year! I went to CO in March and in November. My mom was home the end of June, October, and December. It was so great getting to spend so much time with her in 2011.
In pet news poor Bella broke her little leg and had to get it taken off. She is doing just fine now. She walk, cuddles, and plays just like normal.
Some other memorable moments of 2011
