Valentin's Day Gift Guide

Well that special February day is fast approaching. I have yet again put together a little gift guide of some simple can't go wrong gifts!

1. Heat Necklace and Heart Bracelet: The necklace is from urban outfitters and the bracelet from forever21, they make a great matching set. And nothing says Valentines gift like hearts and jewelry!

2. Revlon Lip Balm: Some sexy V-day colors for the lips is an easy go to and who doesn't want lusty kissable lips?!

3. A Lush Soap Bar: A Lush product is always a great gift. This is a vanilla heart shaped soap bar. I can only imagine how good it smells and how soft it makes your skin.

4. Scarfs from forever21: Scarfs are fashionable all year round, and with spring coming up this is a great day to get something more feminine and colorful for your lady. It will never go out of style and always remind her of you.

5. Macaroons: I still have not had a fancy macaroon!! Valentines Day is the perfect holiday for these cute desserts! You can often get a variety of flavors and colors. Kind of like flowers, but they you can eat them. However, they probably won't last as long.

6. Polaroid Love Notes: I found this cute little number on Urbanoutfitters. It has a bunch of cute instagram-esq photos for you to write little love notes on.

7. A love globe: I am in love with this love snowglobe! You can put a picture in it and it rains red hearts! Something simple you can make personal.

8. Cath Kidston bag: These bags are so adorable and come in many patters and sizes. A great gift for a girl on the go, or a girl who just needs that extra purse room.

9. Pajamas: Silky pajamas are a must have. Trust me, no one will complain about getting a nice cute set of pjs.

10. to-go-jar: Mason Jars are still a hit and using them as a to go cup is brilliant and chic. Since they are glass your go green girl can reuse it and not worry about the chemicals from a plastic travel mug.

11/12. A record and a DVD set: Both these gifts are good together gifts. Get some take out, get comfortable, and just enjoy each other with a good tv series or backup music. Keep the night chill and casual while being together.

13. Lingerie: For your more sexy kind of gift go for a nice bra and pantie set. No girl can really have too many bras and panties.

14. Strawberry Cheesecake Ice-cream: A repeat from last years gift idea, because do I really need to say anything..

15. Nail polish: Festive pinks and reds are such a simple gift. Again spring is coming up so some pastel colors are going to be needed. Adding pops of pinks is flirty and feminine. And with nail polish you won't ever pick the wrong size.

So this is my 2014 V-Day gift guide! I hope everyone spreads the love this Friday!
Cheers!

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Her

That special day is just around the corner! You know the one, where we get to share our love with our main squeezes, friends, and family. I have made my own little gift guide on ideas to get the ladies in your life.

 1. Josie Maran lip gloss- This pink sheer gloss is a perfect gift for right before date night! Make those lips look kissable. (available on Josie's website and at saphora)
2. Heart shaped bangle- I am just smitten over this bracelet!! It would go with everything and the heart shape makes it cute and personal. (Forever21)
3. Sleep shirt- Every girl needs a nice pair of pjs. This long shirt is silky and stylish. Comfortable and cute, what else does a girl need in her sleepwear?
4. A Cat's Life book- Ok I know I am not the only one out there who would jump with joy from getting this adorable book. However, a book in general can be a great V-day gift. (Barns&Noble)
5. U Are The Apple Of My Eye necklace- Do I even need to explain this one? So sweet!! (Forever21)
6. Pink body mist- You can never have too many purse size items! Victoria secret has the nicest body mists and they come in little travel sizes. The little sizes also make them a cute item to add to a gift bag of prezzies. (Victoria Secret)
7. Heart shaped purse- Since you can never have too many purse sized items you also can't have too many purses! You want to make your girl happy, get her a nice purse. This is a nice color pop and good size purse. The heart shape again makes it personal for the holiday. (Forever21)

8. Love and Beauty nail polish- Top is firstdate and bottom is teatime. Pink and Red are the colors of Valentines day and the color of fabulous nails. (Forever21)
9. Iphone cover- What says love more than a heart case for your love's number one real love, their iphone?!?! (UrbanOutfitters)
10. Sweetheart Sunglasses- Girls love accessories. These ones remind me of the book Lolita. These shades will be very cool for summer, just enough to add a little to an outfit. (UrbanOutfitters)
11. Heart and Bike mug- I tried to find some lovely tea, but failed. I found this nice mug instead. I know I can never have enough mugs. (UrbanOutfitters)

My Valentine's Day!

February 14th..Valentine's day, it come every year. This year's holiday was a pretty simple one where I just enjoyed the small things. I woke up this morning to find my grandparents had left me a little Valentine's day surprise!

A deliciously sweet Valentine! I had left them one of the cards I made for them to find in the morning, and then when I woke up they had left me this. Morning surprises are the best kind. I was in a happy loving mood all day after that. After finding my gift I put on my Valentine's day outfit!

Dress- Hot topic
Cardigan- H&M
Tights- Target
Boots- Urban Outfitters
I am so pleased with my day of love outfit creation! I love the two colors of pinks mixed. My tights are opaque while my dress is more of a light pale pink. The darker shade and the lighter shade were so pretty together.  The look is very romantic, but with a slight edge thanks to the boots and cardigan. I am also wearing the shade "light pink" nail polish from forever 21, my earrings I ordered off ebay (the ones I lost at the wedding! they were featured in a wish list wed), and a necklace that is a tiny heart with the words "love never fails" on it. All the pieces together made the best Valentine's day outfit.
Once I was all dressed I headed into town to get lunch with Mark. We decided to have our lunch date at Mazetlan, a delicious Mexican restaurant.
Even my drink was pink and festive!

Mark is sooooo full!!!
The rest of my day was spent at class or a quick rest at home. I did drop off some of my Valentine's day cards I made for friends and family. To keep me in the spirit of love I kept my eye out for the little things that reminded me of the day. This isn't one of my favorite holidays, but I do love the colors, hearts, and all the cute decorations. Here are a few things I came across today...

Lots of Window stickies

So cute at Target!!
All and all I had a pretty good Valentine's day! I got to share my love with those I care about, and feeling love and kindness back from them. That is what this day is all about! How was your Valentine's day? What is your favorite part of the holiday?
