Add a little spring to your home

Spring is right around the corner, and for some lucky ones it is already in bloom. Spring is a great time to rearrange the house and bring a new fresh feel to your space. I did some window shopping on urban outfitters (just my daily boredom routine) and found some stand out spring pieces.

-I am a sucker for almost anything teal or baby blue. So when I saw this adorable blue side table I fell in love. Baby blue is a nice bright color to add some pop to a space. It also has a nice vintage look.
-Rugs are an easy and sometimes cheap way to bring a new vibe inside. Like I said, sucker for light blues, but the floral rug has tons of bright spring colors.
-A space box shelf is perfect for all your little nic-nacs. These shelves are making a big decorative come back. To make them personal to your home paint the shelves or add a little wall paper around the sides.
-Hardware is another easy way to add a touch of unique and personal decor. Door knobs and curtain holders are simple to install too. I like the brass floral look of this curtain holder.
-Picture frames are my favorite decor item! Sometimes I have more frames than pictures to put in them. Again, I am clearly really into this baby blue accent color. Having the frames chained together is nice for those of us who don't have the eye for multiple frame art eye.
-Cat art, everyone needs some nice cat art.
-Little bottles or vases are also become a big decor trend. This seat is nice because it has multiple colors and sizes. It could be used for flowers, storing pens, or just a simple decoration. No matter what I think they are very cute.
- I am not real sure how the dear head has anything to do with spring, but I want it! It at least would make a fabulous conversation piece.

Halloween, Halloween, Halloween!

Halloween is over and I am pretty bummed. I had a lot of spooky fun this year though. I got to dress up for work all month, eat tasty treats, hand out candy at the mall to trick-or-treaters, and see my friends. I have said it before and I will say it again, what isn't there to love about Halloween!!

Spooky Treats-
I could not get enough fall flavors for Halloween this year! I had many delicious Caramel apple ciders, they were so tasty! Spooky cat cookies were a must for the holiday. Even the frozen yogurt shop got in the spirit and had pumpkin flavored froyo! Nom nom nom!!!

Horror Decor-

What is Halloween without all the decorations??!! Little boy Pi and I went to Emma Crumbies and got some nice little pumpkins. I didn't get to carve any pumpkins this year. I did get a Halloween Micheal Myers tribute tattoo with my dad, our matching kitchen knives. I decorated my room with pumpkins, bats, and skulls and cuddled up to watch Walking Dead. My movie collection didn't grow this year, but I will have to check the Halloween clearance.

Dress up-
Pilot as a giraffe
Vintage Lady

Chaplin & Misty
Cow Kitty Pumpkin
80's
So many McGrubbers...
Dressed as my manager, Pam!
I just love dressing up for Halloween!! Of course I thought of like 20 more ideas of things to dress up as, guess I will just have to wait till next year. What were your favorite costumes this year?

Till next year Halloween...

Mason Jar Creativity

I know I have been a little MIA for a while! But as summer starts to wind down I am trying to wind down too. I feel like I was hustled and bustled right through my summer. Even though time has been flying by I had time to notice mason jars were really making a cute little come back. I don't think mason jars really went anywhere I just think vintage country chic is making a comeback. Again I personally never thought vintage chic left, but that's just me. So I thought I would share some creative ways to use mason jars. The best part about them is they are so cheap and can be found at almost any thrift or antique store.

My first favorite way to creatively use a mason jar is as simple as using it as a cup! I have noticed this is a big trend this summer. This is a cute idea for showers, family gatherings, barbeques, a picnic, or at a little coffee shop. Etsy has tons of adorable mason jar covers and other ways to snazz up your mason jar. It is such a simple idea, but I still find it to be incredibly genius and adorable!

Lighting is a fun way to add a little romance and ambiance to a room or outside patio. This is a creative way to make lighting unique. The easiest way would be to add a candle in your mason jar and use it as a center piece or hang a line of them up. Making them into actual light fixtures might take a handy man (I know I would need one!) I just love the charm the jars bring to a space.

This is a DIY craft project! I think it is so neat! You could do any sort of design you wanted. I believe all it is is a sticker on the inside and then paint rolled around. Again a pretty simple and easy way to do something new and interesting with a plain class jar. It is a great way to bring one of a kind art into your home.

I always end up keeping my movie stubs and theater and concert tickets. Normally they just build up in my wallet, purse, or pants pocket until I can't take it and toss them away. And think of all the clothes you buy that come with a spare button and you just throw it out with the tag. Well Wa-La!! A mason jar is the perfect storage container. It isn't a big clunky plastic bin or an untidy drawer. The vintage look of the mason jar makes it a charming display of life's little things.

Lets be real..mason jars are great for EVERYTHING!! The options are truly almost endless with these little treasures! I plan to invest in some soon and get my creativity flowing. P.S. they make great containers for craft supplies! Store you yarn, markers, glue, nails, brushes, ect and then use them to make a whole new mason jar craft!

Winter Wonderland!

Well it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! It snowed over the weekend and looks like it will be sticking around. I think snow looks beautiful, but I have awful driving anxiety when its snowy and icey out! So if I don't have to drive I try and stay in. So tha'ts exactly what I did today! I had a lazy day around the house, wrapped some presents, and decorated the tree!

Like everyone else I have been busy making Christmas list after Christmas list for loved ones. Sometimes it is just too hard to think of ideas for that certain boy or girl. I have created a his/her gift list of some ideas to help everyone out.

1. What guy doesn't want his favorite T.V. show on DVD or his new music obsession CD. DVDs and CDs are always a nice and simple gift for your special man.
2.The perfect Push up is my next suggestion. If he isn't to interested in going to a gym he can just work out at home on his own time.
3. Every dude should have a tie for those special occasions that come up. Ties can be found in a wide range of prices, prints, and colors. You can find the perfect style for him.
4. Help him keep his feet cozy and warm all winter. Slippers are nice for around the house on those lazy winter nights.
5. A wireless game control is a must for the gamer in your life. Even if he already has one, a second means his buds can join in on games when they come over.
6.I found this mini bartender set at Target.com. It has 7 pieces and its simple look makes it acceptable for any kitchen.
7. Sweaters are something everyone needs during these cold winter months. They can also be worn everyday or on a special occasion.
8. Even though guys aren't in love with shoes the way girls are, they could steal use a nice pair of boots. These are from forever 21. Keep him fashionable and functional through the snow months.
9. You can get your man smelling just the way you want him. These manly body scrubs, after shave, and cologne sets often go on sale for the holidays.
10. A mini grill is a great gift! He can use this to make his own little bbq inside during the winter.
11. A nice small gift is a personal massager. He won't be able to get enough back massages from you.
1. A nook is a fabulous gift! Mark got me one last year and I love it. You can get the book you want without getting off the couch. And the new nooks have so many more options, like Netflix!
2. A pair of pajamas is always a safe bet. Girls love being comfortable and cozy.
3. Picture frames come in so many different looks you can find the perfect one to match your lady's personality. You could even put a nice picture in it for her.
4. A yoga mat might be more of a specific gift. I have wanted one for a while. You could sign her up for a few classes to go with the mat.
5. Pure Lux has the best mineral eye shadows ever! You can get sample sizes for just $1! And the sample sizes last forever! Its a cheap gift that she will love!
6. Shoes! This pair is from forever 21. I have been dying for a pair of bootie wedges. Just know your girls shoe size and get a pair of shoes she has been eying!
7. Coffee and a mug is a cute little gift. Like the picture frame you can find the perfect mug to match her personality.
8. Who doesn't love adding a new Victoria Secret Pink sweatshirt to their collection?! There are so many to choose from online and in the stores.
9. Bath and Body Works has such good car smelly-s. They make a good stocking stuffer or their own little gift.
10. Decorative ear buds are a big gift idea this year. These ones are Monster High earbuds. They are cute and great for travel.

I hope some of my ideas help you out! How are your Christmas lists going?

Vintage Dream Bedroom

Everyone imagines their dream bedroom. A place that is all your own for you to do as you please. I like to check in on UrbanOutfitters.com to day dream of all the things I wish I could afford for my own sanctuary. I would love a vintage inspired bedroom, black and white with just a splash of blue and pink. I also want a lot of art and pictures on my walls and shelves. Here are some ideas to create this perfect bedroom look.

Aria's bedroom from Pretty Little Liars!
These rooms look so cozy, like a little place to escape to. I love the birdcage mirrors in the top picture. I watch the show Pretty Little Liars and am always so envious of Aria's bedroom. I like the idea of an attic feel bedroom. I have also always wanted a window seat to sit and read in or just relax. Also i like how cluttered the room is, yet everything has its own place.

I have always wanted a bedroom big enough for a comfy chair to fit in. I am so in love with this print and lovely blue color. I like to use the excuse that if I had a nice place to sit I would find time to read more.
Black and white with a hint of color

I think it would be nice to have one long wall be wallpaper and the other walls painted. My room now is light gray and I like it a lot! I want a sleepy room to have loads of wall space! I love wall art and would hang it all over. I have a slight obbsession with picture frames too. I enjoy having pictures of my loved ones all around. I also have some pinup girl pictures in picture frames in my room. I think it is a cute little idea. Here are some prints I would love to have up on my wall and shelves.

That isn't even including pictures of my friends and family. Art is just something that can really set the mood of a room. I want vintage, daring, yet calming art in my room. I also like little nic-nacs for in my room. For my dream bedroom I would need a large space. Someday I will put all my wishes together and create my perfect space all to myself.

What inspires your bedroom?
